Water Services

OUR GOAL

To ensure that each consumer has a satisfactory potable water supply and each premises has adequate drainage facilities.

To pursue approval and implementation of the proposals for the provision and/or improvement of the Water Services infrastructure as identified, and prioritised, in the “WATER SERVICES INVESTMENT PROGRAMME - ASSESSMENT OF NEEDS” 2002-2006 and 2006-2012
To complete the implementation of the Rural Water Plan.
To further develop and implement a comprehensive programme for the maintenance of the County’s water and waste water infrastructure.
To further develop the Council’s programme for leak detection and minimisation of wastage.
To develop a sustainable small rural villages wastewater treatment programme.
To develop a system that will ensure equity to our consumers, in accordance with National Water Pricing Policy.
