Tiobraid Álainn - Pride of Place Competition

The Tiobraid Álainn-Pride of Place competition is a Council initiative that acknowledges the hard work and dedication of many Tidy Towns/Tidy Village committees throughout North Tipperary.

The competition is usually launched in May and will be advertised in local press. Application forms and particulars will be available on this page as soon as they are available.

Judging criteria includes tidiness/litter management, Awareness and care of the natural environment, Awareness and care of the built environment, Community involvement and Promotion of pride of place.

Prizes are awarded in all 4 electoral areas and will be presented at the Council's Annual Environmental Awards, usually held in November. There is also an overall prize for the Tidiest Village or Town in North Tipperary.

North Tipperary County Council will nominate entrants to the Tiobraid-Álainn-Pride of Place Competition to represent the county in the all-Ireland Pride of Place Competition. For further information, visit www.prideofplace.cooperationireland.org

The Tiobraid Álainn-Pride of Place competition aims to encourage local groups to prepare for and enter the National Tidy Towns awards, organised by the Department of the Environment, Heritage and Local Government. For further information visit www.tidytowns.ie
