North
Tipperary County Council is introducing a new award for the Best Presented
Shop Front in North Tipperary
which will be announced at Environmental Awards Ceremony held annually
November.
The awards ceremony is based on the theme of ‘Pride of Place’ and this year
the County Council
want the businesses across the County to be recognised by awarding a ‘Best
Presented Shop Front’ prize.
This award is
being introduced in order to encourage the best possible presentation of shop
fronts in towns
and villages across North Tipperary. By establishing this award, the County
Council is hoping to create an
awareness of the positive impression a well presented shop front can create
within the local community and
to visitors alike especially when it is clean, tidy and well maintained. The
competition is open to anybody to nominate
a shop front for consideration, be it the proprietor or a member of the
public, any type of business is encouraged to enter
such as clothes shops, book shops, beauty salons, confectionery shops,
offices, cafes etc.
The
competition will be judged after the closing date of the competition once all
applications are received by 1st of September.
