Update report on NDP routes October 2006
N7 NENAGH/LIMERICK
It is expected that the contract for the main works will be awarded at the end of October. Work is ongoing on the archaeological resolution of the site in advance of the main works. Other advance contracts, such as the demolition of all properties acquired, are reaching completion.
N7 NENAGH/CASTLETOWN
Notices to treat have now been served on all landowners and discussions are ongoing with landowner representatives with regard to land acquisition. Notice to Enter has also been served and work will commence on fencing before the end of 2006. The programme for the main works envisages a start date of spring 2008.
N8 CULLAHILL/CASHEL
A contract for the main works was signed with the Roadbridge/Sisk consortium on the 5th of October. An official turning of the sod for the scheme was performed by Minister Martin Cullen at Two Mile Borris on the same day. Land purchase agreements continue to be completed with landowners and archaeology resolution is nearing completion in advance of the commencement of the main works.
